An opportunity exists for a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Clerk to join our national Finance team for a 12 month Fixed-term contract. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and expense functions, while delivering a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be a trusted member of the team, supporting month‑end processes, managing high‑volume transactions and maintaining the integrity of key finance systems in a fast‑paced professional services environment.

As a member of Accounts Payable team, you will provide proficient control of the Corrs Group trade and client creditors, meet deadlines for payment of creditors, assist with the daily recording and reconciling of payments from clients and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.

In this role, you will take ownership of core accounts payable and expense administration functions, including:

  • End‑to‑end accounts payable processing, including accurate invoice processing in line with firm policies and controls
  • Credit card and expense administration, managing high‑volume uploads, allocations, policy compliance and follow‑up of uncoded transactions
  • Preparation of daily payment schedules, including vendor payments and staff reimbursements
  • Support for month‑end activities, including journals, accruals and key reconciliations
  • Vendor management, including creation, maintenance and reconciliation of major supplier accounts
  • Management and audit of high‑volume data uploads (e.g. Docusign, InfoTrack, LitSupport and PEXA costs)
  • Provision of responsive finance administration and stakeholder support, including inbox management, onboarding/offboarding tasks and cashflow assistance

About you

You are a confident and organised finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality outcomes. You bring strong technical capability alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

You will ideally have:

  • At least three years’ experience in accounts payable, preferably within a legal or professional services environment
  • Experience working with high‑volume invoice processing and multi‑entity payment runs
  • A strong understanding of GST, withholding tax and foreign currency payments (preferred)
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong time‑management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Experience using Aderant Expert (or similar practice management systems), Emburse and FlexiPurchase will be highly regarded
  • A collaborative, customer‑focused approach and the ability to work autonomously when required
