About the Role

Avant is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join its Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team in Melbourne CBD. In this role, you will provide expert medico-legal risk advice, education, and support to members, while leading a small team and driving service improvement and change initiatives. You will play a key role in strengthening capability, promoting consistency, and aligning service delivery with Avant’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality medico-legal risk advisory services to support improved safety, quality, and professionalism in medical practices
  • Design and deliver medico-legal risk management education through workshops, events, and training sessions
  • Lead and contribute to service improvement initiatives, including the implementation of new tools, processes, and ways of working
  • Coach and develop Risk Advisers, supporting capability uplift and leading teams through organisational change
  • Partner with the National Risk Advisory Service & Performance Manager to support service growth and strategic transformation initiatives
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional and change-focused projects
  • Represent Avant in alignment with member engagement values, professionalism standards, and organisational change principles
