Our Client is a global Construction & Engineering firm with an opportunity for a quality front-end construction lawyer to join their market leading APAC legal team.
With offices across the globe they have been involved in some of the most significant infrastructure, energy and resources projects globally.
The Role
Due to growth the Regional Head of Legal is looking to hire a legal counsel to join their Brisbane office. This role will support projects and transactions across Australia.
You will work as part of a close knit team and the wider business on some of the markets most sophisticated EPC, EPCM and project development matters.
Responsibilities will include:
- Advising on major project development, procurement and delivery matters across the construction, mining and resources sector;
- Structuring, negotiating and closing complex project and transactional documentation;
- Supporting project execution teams on live construction and engineering matters;
- Advising on risk allocation, claims strategy and broader commercial issues;
The Ideal Candidate
You will have between 5-7 years front-end construction experience from either a top-tier or equivalent firm or highly regarded in house construction team.
In addition you will have:
- Strong experience across construction, projects, infrastructure, energy and/or resources matters;
- Deep familiarity with EPC/EPCM, procurement and major project documentation;
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
- A highly commercial and solutions-oriented approach;
