Job Summary
We are seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic relationships with global hyperscale and colocation data centre customers.
This role focuses on driving revenue and margin growth through Delta’s power and cooling solutions, leading account strategy, managing complex tenders and negotiations, and coordinating cross functional teams to deliver end to end solutions from design through to project execution and lifecycle support.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Key Account Ownership and Growth
- Act as the primary commercial lead for key global data centre accounts, building strong relationships with procurement, engineering, development and operations stakeholders
- Develop and execute multi year account plans aligned with customer growth strategies and investment roadmaps
- Manage pipeline, forecasting and opportunity conversion through structured sales processes
- Identify opportunities across new builds, expansions, retrofits and lifecycle service programs
Solutions Selling
- Engage early in customer design phases to influence specifications and position Delta solutions
Commercial Leadership
- Manage pricing, contract terms and approvals in line with Delta processes
- Lead negotiations for MSAs, SLAs and framework agreements
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and commercial standards
Tender Management
- Lead the preparation and submission of high quality tenders within required timeframes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and commercial viability
- Clearly communicate proposed configurations and solutions to customers
- Follow up on submissions and communicate timelines and delivery expectations
Stakeholder and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams across engineering, supply chain, finance, legal and service
- Ensure seamless collaboration from pre sales through to project execution
Market Intelligence and Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends and market developments
- Provide insights to product and marketing teams
- Use CRM tools to manage pipeline and provide regular reporting
Customer Success and Delivery
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to project execution teams
- Support commercial management through project lifecycle
- Lead business reviews and capture customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar preferred
- MBA or postgraduate business qualification is highly regarded
- Project management training or experience is desirable
Experience
- 10 plus years experience in technology or infrastructure related industries
- Minimum 5 years experience in data centre solutions including power, cooling and infrastructure
- Strong background in tender management and complex bid environments
- Proven experience in high value commercial negotiations
- Experience working with hyperscale or colocation data centre customers is highly desirable
