Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking two experienced Financial Accountants to join a well-established mining organisation on an initial 6-month contract based in Perth.

This opportunity will suit professionals with a strong technical accounting background who are confident working in a fast-paced corporate environment and supporting month-end, statutory reporting, and external audit requirements.

The Role

Working within a collaborative finance team, you will be responsible for supporting key financial accounting and reporting activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end financial accounting activities
• Preparing and posting journals
• Completing balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Preparing monthly financial reports
• Assisting with preparation of year-end financial statements
• Preparing audit workpapers and supporting the external audit process
• Identifying and resolving accounting issues ahead of audit deadlines
• Supporting statutory reporting and compliance obligations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• CPA or CA qualification
• Experience working with Australian listed companies
• Mining industry experience preferred
• Approximately 3-5 years' experience within a public practice environment
• Strong experience preparing audit files and supporting external audits
• Solid understanding of financial reporting and statutory compliance requirements
• High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines

• Immediate start available
• Initial 6-month contract
• Monday to Friday roster
• 7.6-hour days
• Based at Perth Airport head office
• Office relocating to West Perth in July 2026
• Weekly pay cycle
