Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a leading education provider tackling a major AI-driven Admissions transformation. Utilise your expertise to drive automation, integration, and intelligent process design within one of Australia's leading higher education institutions

THE ROLE
The Senior BA will be joining the team during an active phase of AI-driven admissions transformation for a leading Melbourne-based education provider. The candidate will play a critical role in analysing and automating admissions processes, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to reduce manual effort and drive intelligent, data-led solutions.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across a complex, multi-team environment.
- Previous experience working within higher education admissions or student management systems is highly regarded.
- Hands-on experience with StudyLink or equivalent admissions platforms is highly desired.
- Elicit and document business rules across admissions workflows and automation opportunities.
- Assess current manual processes and define future-state automated solutions.
- Gather functional and non-functional requirements across business, data, and integration domains.
- Conduct comprehensive business process modelling across admissions and student lifecycle workstreams.
- Create business, software, and information-level models using techniques such as BPMN, use cases, wireframes, and data modelling.
- Develop user stories based on your analysis.
- Work closely with data and integration teams to understand and document data flows, APIs, and system integrations.
- Facilitate workshops with product owners and diverse stakeholders across admissions, technology, and operations teams.
- Maintain and update information in Jira and Confluence.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- HIGHLY REGARDED: Previous experience working within a major Australian higher education institution or education provider
- Previous hands-on experience with admissions automation and AI-driven transformation programs
- Strong understanding of similar student admissions and management platforms would be great.
- Solid understanding of data flows, system integrations, and API-driven architectures from a BA perspective
- Experience working across both business and technical domains, bridging the gap between stakeholders and delivery teams
- Previous experience working closely with product owners in Agile delivery environments
- Hybrid working model across both Agile and Waterfall projects
- Strong requirement gathering, business rules documentation, and user story development skills
- Experience managing medium to large projects involving technology solutions and diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
