Project Manager

Silverstrand is seeking a Project Manager to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.

You will be based in our Brisbane head office and employed on a permanent basis.

Principle contractor and subcontractor experience on Bridges, Rail, Pipelines, Concrete works, Renewable energy, Earthworks projects.

Traveling to regional projects as required to check in with site teams, clients and progress updates.

Base Salary + Super + Vehicle + Bonus Structure

About The Role

• Working on Civil and Structures projects across Australia.
• Working with the project team to organise all required labour, plant and equipment and any other materials required to ensure project delivery as well as outlining short and medium-term workflow.
• Creating & implementing the construction program.
• Working with clients to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issues.
• Reviewing and approving subcontract and supplier invoices and monthly claims.
• Manage budgets, tracking, and delivery of projects within the context of the Company’s overall strategy and objectives.
• Manage the engagement and delivery of works for suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors in a schedule of rate and/or lump sum environment.
• Compile contracts according to the Company’s project management philosophy and implement corrective actions for the efficient utilisation of plant and labour hires.
• Experience with project programming, cost and quality control, procurement and supplier engagement
• Monitor and review work plans and programs against contractual and financial targets.
• Maintain, reconcile, and report on costing and forecast management.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable
• Minimum 5 years experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Delivering self-perform works.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret plans.
• Programming & Cost Control.
• Excellent safety record from previous projects.
