Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Content Designer to join a high-performing digital experience team delivering accessible, user-centred digital services for a large government environment. This role will focus on improving website content and digital journeys to ensure information is clear, inclusive, discoverable and aligned with best practice standards.

Your Duties Will Include

• Design and improve website content aligned to digital content strategies and user needs
• Develop accessible, plain English content for public-facing digital channels
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, UX and research teams to deliver user-centred outcomes
• Apply information architecture principles to improve navigation, structure and findability
• Ensure content aligns with accessibility standards, government style guides and best practice
• Contribute to content governance, continuous improvement and digital experience initiatives

Skills And Experience

• Experience designing content for websites or digital platforms within complex environments
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, inclusive writing and plain English principles
• Experience working with information architecture, user journeys and content structures
• Knowledge of Australian Government digital standards and style guidance
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and CMS platforms
