Precast Concrete Production Manager

The Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Manager to join us at our precast concrete production plant in Dandenong South (Victoria).

This is a permanent full time position, Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday depending on work flow with salary package based on experience.

As our Production Manager you will be expected to carry out duties such as (but not limited to):

  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth supply of custom precast products to customers;
  • Oversee all aspects of production from reading drawings through to the production phase;
  • Link the planning of work orders to ensure the production phase occurs smoothly with the production team at our manufacturing facility (there is no on-site work);
  • Database Management, Maintain and manage the company database, ensuring it is current and well-organised.
  • Providing the Director with regular updates on production status, timelines and any issues as they arise.
  • Develop specifications for production and determining required materials from drawings.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients regarding deadlines to ensure satisfaction and timely completion of projects.

We've experienced significant growth recently and with a healthy forward order book, we're now looking for pro-active team member who can be an integral part of the team.

About You

A solid attention to detail and willingness to lead all facets of supervising production between our customers and our teams, ensuring a smooth and on-time workflow from purchase order to delivery.

Ideally You Will Have

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Precast Concrete, Civil Construction industry or Construction Management experience;
  • A trade background in construction carpentry is preferred, though not compulsory
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet project lead times and production targets.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience leading and supervising tradespeople and labourers within a factory or site-based environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong willingness to learn, develop, and excel within the industry.
  • Current driver's licence.

Previous experience within a construction, concreting, manufacturing, or precast environment is preferred, along with a sound understanding of the precast concrete industry.
