Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking experienced

Painters to join our team supporting a major, high-visibility aviation precinct in Mascot.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality planned and reactive painting and maintenance services across key facilities, ensuring assets are well-presented, safe, and maintained to exceptional standards. Reporting to the Operations team, you will work collaboratively across trades and site teams to support continuous operations within a busy, 24/7 environment.

This is a highly visible role where presentation, attention to detail, and professionalism are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete interior and exterior painting and maintenance across facilities
  • Prepare surfaces including sanding, stripping, cleaning, plaster repair, and mould treatment
  • Carry out minor repair works and surface preparation to achieve high-quality finishes
  • Undertake water blasting and surface cleaning as required
  • Use work management systems to review job requirements and record completed works
  • Capture job completion photos and document variations where required
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and communication onsite
  • Follow WHS requirements and site safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas within a high-traffic environment

Essential

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial painting and surface preparation
  • Knowledge of paints, coatings, strippers, and preparation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
  • Physically fit and able to work in active operational environments
  • Relevant qualification in painting or trade-related field

Desirable

  • Experience working in aviation, transport, or high-traffic public environments
  • Familiarity with work order or job management systems
  • Full driver’s licence

This role is fully on-site at a major aviation precinct in Mascot, supporting critical infrastructure and high-traffic public spaces. Full-time permanent role with site-based operations.
