JD Ross has partnered with a rapidly expanding global energy technology company entering the Australian residential energy storage market. With a strong international presence and a growing product portfolio, the business is focused on establishing and scaling their Australian footprint through channel development, distributor expansion, installer network growth, and market entry related activities.

They are seeking a Channel Development Manager – Residential Energy Storage to support their early‑stage market entry and long‑term expansion in Australia, with an initial focus on NSW.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to market entry strategy, channel expansion planning, marketing direction, and commercial rollout activities.
  • Support product positioning, channel pricing, and promotional planning for the Australian market.
  • Establish, expand, and maintain relationships with distributors, installers, electrical wholesalers, solar retailers, and other key channel partners.
  • Build an early‑stage pipeline of potential customers and opportunities, driving partner engagement, negotiation, onboarding, and readiness for the product’s formal market launch.
  • Once the product enters the sales phase, drive channel sales, business development, and ongoing partner management to accelerate market growth.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • A strong understanding of the Australian residential energy storage ecosystem and local market dynamics.
  • The ability to operate effectively in an early‑stage market environment, demonstrating autonomy, adaptability, and proactive problem‑solving.
  • A proven track record in channel development, sales, or business development, ideally within distributed energy or hardware‑based product environments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, commercial development, and independent execution capabilities.
  • Existing relationships with installers, distributors, wholesalers, or solar retailers.
