WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Account Director to join a leading Sydney based brand activation and experiential agency. This is a senior client leadership role responsible for overseeing key accounts, driving client growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative campaigns and experiences from brief through to execution. Working closely with internal creative, production, operations, and leadership teams, you will act as the strategic lead across a portfolio of clients, building strong long-term relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for account growth, increasing client retention, and contributing to the overall commercial success of the agency. The ideal candidate will bring strong agency experience within experiential, events, activation, creative, or integrated marketing environments and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting. You will be confident managing multiple stakeholders, leading client conversations, presenting strategic ideas, and navigating complex campaign delivery requirements while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service standards.
Success in this role will come from your ability to build trusted client partnerships, drive commercial outcomes, uncover growth opportunities, lead internal teams effectively, and deliver exceptional brand experiences that strengthen both agency reputation and long-term client relationships.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE?
- Proven experience leading a fast-paced agency, experiential, creative, marketing, or services-based business / Team
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L management experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance
- Experience overseeing multiple business functions including sales, operations, client services, production, and people leadership
- Strong leadership capability with experience building, mentoring, and managing high performing teams
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and decision-making
- Experience implementing scalable systems, processes, and operational improvements
- Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Experience driving business growth
