The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of land acquisition, negotiation and tenure for renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to construction. You will engage with landowners, government bodies and key stakeholders to secure land access agreements and ensure projects progress on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate and secure land access agreements, easements and option agreements with landowners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with rural landowners, communities and government stakeholders
  • Manage land tenure documentation and due diligence processes
  • Work closely with internal development, legal and environment teams
  • Support community engagement and consultation activities
  • Monitor and manage land access obligations throughout the project lifecycle

About You

  • Proven experience in land acquisition, tenure or access management on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage) or major rural or infrastructure projects
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build trust with rural landowners and communities
  • Sound understanding of property law, easements and land tenure processes in Queensland
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in property, planning, law or a related discipline (desirable)
