Estimator - Civil & Infrastructure

Design & Build are currently working with a national and established civil contractor to identify an Estimator & Senior Estimator to work on large-scale road, water, drainage and subdivision works across Adelaide. This role is well suited to a Project Engineer that in interested in gaining pre-contracts experience before they become a Project Manager.

• Deliver accurate first‑principles bids on infrastructure projects up to :$20 million
• Help drive commercial decisions to sustainably win and deliver major contracts

What we’re looking for

You’re an estimator with:

• 5+ years within civil construction and infrastructure-style estimating – water, sewer, roads, earthworks, subdivisions
• Demonstrated first‑principles pricing capability (bottom‑up vs. cost/m² roll‑ups)
• Experience structuring and reviewing subcontractor packages for maximum tender competitiveness
• Excellent local market knowledge (labour, plant availability, trade margins, risk allowances in South Australia)
• Proficiency in Expert Estimator (mandatory) and/or CATS or equivalent estimating tools designandbuild.com.au
• Experience mentoring others and elevating estimating standards
• Ability to engage & converse with client directly
