About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager - Strategic Projects to join the PMO & Major Projects Team. Reporting to the Strategic and Interface Projects Lead, this role is responsible for delivering high‑impact strategic projects across the organisation.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex strategic projects across multiple council departments
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, community groups, and external partners to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with State Government Authorities and Institutions, resolving complex design and delivery issues with key stakeholders in a collaborative way
  • Implement project governance frameworks and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrates experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, ideally within government or similar environments
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining control of scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Sound communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and presenting project information clearly
  • A tertiary qualification in project management or a related discipline, with several years of relevant post‑qualification experience
