The Opportunity

The Workshop & Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the factory operates in a structured, disciplined and safety-focused manner whilst driving productivity and continuous improvement across the manufacturing team.

The role oversees labour utilisation, manufacturing output, quality standards, workflow coordination, machinery maintenance and team performance to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved.

Reporting through to the People, Process & Systems Manager, you will lead our Production Crew [consisting of Welders, Fabricators, Production Workers and Machine Operators].

This is a role for a present leader, someone who will be visible on the shop floor and will lead by example.

Working closely with the leaders across our business, you will help unlock the full potential of our production floor and our team to optimise output and quality in every job we complete.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced Workshop & Production Supervisor who has successfully run Production Crews in a Steel Manufacturing, Steel Fabrication and/or Steel Processing (or similar) environment.

You will be self-motivated and quality focused - someone who is wanting to make an important career move and is looking for an opportunity that offers security, growth, support & reward!

• Positive communication skills with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels;
• The knack for problem solving – tackling a problem head on and coming up with the best practical solution will come naturally to you;
• Well-developed organisation and planning skills accompanied by the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities;
• Good computer skills – you’ll be interested in technology and understand it’s place and importance in business, and;
• Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
