About the Opportunity
ACCIONA Agua is seeking an Onshore Logistics Coordinator to support logistics delivery across a major desalination project currently in construction as well as other upcoming projects.
This role is based in Adelaide CBD and will work closely with the Offshore Logistics team, customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouse teams and project stakeholders to keep materials moving and ensure deliveries align to site needs.
What are the key accountabilities for the position?
- Coordinate daily with Offshore Logistics to confirm shipment timing, paperwork status, and what needs to be delivered onshore.
- Manage import paperwork and work with the customs broker to support clearance
- Coordinate container and cargo arrivals at port and manage transport to warehouse or site, including unloading planning with site/warehouse teams.
- Coordinate inland transport between port, warehouse/laydown areas and site in line with project priorities and the construction schedule.
- Support warehouse and laydown area planning, including storage control and checking materials are ready when needed.
- Manage delivery issues such as damage, missing items, or paperwork mismatches, and support insurance claims with freight forwarders/insurers.
- Track logistics costs and review onshore logistics invoices for accuracy and correct cost allocation.
- Maintain KPI reporting and provide regular updates to the project team on deliveries, performance and key risks.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Minimum 6+ years' experience in a logistics coordination role
- Strong Excel skills (maintaining and updating data, supporting decision making).
- Experience tracking and managing KPI's.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to speak basic Spanish (Not required but highly desirable)
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders and contributing in frequent meetings.
- Able to work within existing templates and processes and learn multiple computer systems.
- Flexibility with working hours when required due to time zones.
