The Opportunity

CSR is seeking an experienced and influential Architectural Specification Business Development Manager to drive specification success across our Interior Systems portfolio—Himmel and Martini , Gyprock, Cemintel, Bradford . This is a high-impact role suited to a technical, relationship‑driven professional with a strong track record of securing commercial project specifications within the architectural & design market.

In this pivotal position, you will build strong networks within the architectural design and construction community, positioning CSR's products and solutions at the forefront of major commercial projects. You will identify opportunities early in the design cycle, influence specifications, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure project success from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive repeat specifications by delivering a premium customer experience across Himmel, Martini , Gyprock, Bradford and Cemintel portfolios.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with tier-one architects, designers, builders and key decision-makers to secure, protect and expand CSR specifications.
  • Identify early‑stage design opportunities and apply the One CSR strategy to strengthen and broaden specification coverage.
  • Own the project pipeline by actively tracking opportunities in the CRM, documenting specification wins, and meeting KPI expectations.
  • Ensure high CRM discipline, maintaining accurate data, dashboards and reporting at all times.
  • Deliver at least 12 confirmed specifications per QTR
  • Deliver four targeted CPD presentations annually to grow architectural networks and increase CSR product influence.
  • Leverage market intelligence by interpreting data and translating insights into actionable specification opportunities.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to architects, designers, builders and key industry stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate product and project forecasting to support sales teams, customer requirements and budgeting processes.
  • Execute effective project handovers to the Commercial Sales team to ensure seamless transition and specification conversion.

About You

  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Design, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in architectural and/or interior design specification, with a proven track record of securing major commercial projects.
  • Capability: Demonstrated success in identifying new construction opportunities and influencing specifiers to select and retain specified Interior Systems products.
  • Technical Aptitude: Able to interpret and apply technical solutions, matching product capabilities to client requirements.
  • Desirable: Technical qualifications or certifications relevant to interior systems or construction.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build rapport, communicate influences effectively, and support clients in achieving best‑practice design outcomes.
  • Team & Delivery Focus: Works collaboratively, communicates clearly, and follows through diligently to convert opportunities into results.
