Cloud Engineer

Company Overview

BLACKROC is partnering with a well-established organisation to secure a Cloud Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to work across Azure and Microsoft 365 in a supportive, team-based environment.

Role Purpose

This role focuses on supporting and enhancing the organisation’s cloud platforms, ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective services while contributing to ongoing optimisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Azure infrastructure including compute, networking, and security
• Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
• Assist with identity management using Entra ID
• Support Conditional Access, MFA, and RBAC implementations
• Monitor cloud environments and assist with troubleshooting
• Contribute to security improvements and risk mitigation
• Assist with licensing and cost optimisation initiatives
• Support SaaS integrations and SSO

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience working with Azure and/or Microsoft 365
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts
• Exposure to cloud security best practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• PowerShell scripting experience (or willingness to learn)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, etc.)
• Exposure to Microsoft security tooling or compliance platforms
• Familiarity with cost optimisation or cloud financial management
