Windows Infrastructure Engineer

We are currently working on a Senior Infrastructure Engineer opportunity with a federal department for a long-term federal government engagement based in Canberra.

The role is focused on Microsoft Windows Infrastructure Engineering within a large enterprise environment and would suit candidates with strong experience in Windows Desktop & Server support, SOE management, and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Key Highlights

Senior / EL1 equivalent role

Initial 12-month contract + extensions up to 24 months

Hybrid working arrangement

Canberra based

NV1 Security Clearance mandatory

Start: July 2026

Key Skills Required

Microsoft Windows Desktop & Server administration

Enterprise Windows SOE build & support

Infrastructure operations & maintenance

Troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Technical documentation and stakeholder communication

Experience with kiosk mode / customer-facing desktops is beneficial

The Role Involves

Supporting and maintaining Microsoft infrastructure environments

Deployment, maintenance, and operational support activities

Backup and disaster recovery support

Incident/problem management and technical troubleshooting

Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders

Mentoring junior team members
