As a Showroom Sales Consultant at Ellison Studios, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional in store and online customer experience, supporting retail sales while assisting both e-commerce and trade enquiries.
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, design-led showroom environment, guiding customers through our collection with confidence and expertise, and converting enquiries into sales across multiple channels. Alongside retail customers, you will support trade clients with product information, availability, and order assistance - working collaboratively with the broader sales team to ensure a seamless experience.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in a design-led environment, values detail, and takes pride in creating seamless, elevated customer journeys.
Job Type
Part-Time, 3-4 days per week including Friday and Saturday.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent Ellison Studios with a refined, design-led approach, delivering an elevated showroom experience and guiding clients through considered purchasing decisions.
- Drive retail performance by confidently converting enquiries into sales, contributing to targets through proactive engagement and follow-up.
- Support e-commerce and trade enquiries by phone, chat and email with clarity and efficiency, providing product guidance, quoting assistance, and seamless order coordination.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across the collection to confidently advise both retail and trade customers.
- Assist in maintaining showroom standards, including visual merchandising, cleanliness, and overall brand presentation.
- Accurately process sales through POS and support order management across systems.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams (Sales, E-Commerce, Operations) to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Prepare and dispatch orders for fabric swatches and merchandise.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years experience in a retail, showroom, or customer-facing sales role (interiors or furniture preferred).
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and convert enquiries into sales.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident and warm
- approach.
- Passion for interiors, furniture, and design, with an eye for styling and detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and task simultaneously.
- Comfortable using POS systems, CRM platforms, and e-commerce tools (e.g. Shopify, NetSuite or similar).
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to support across retail, e-commerce, and trade channels.
