Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst / QA Engineer to join an Agile delivery team. The role involves end-to-end testing across functional and non-functional areas, with a strong focus on API, database, and integration testing. You will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to clarify and refine requirements with a focus on testability and completeness
• Design and document comprehensive test plans and test strategies
• Plan, prioritise, and execute functional and non-functional testing activities
• Perform end-to-end testing, system integration testing, and API/Microservices testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI
• Conduct manual test execution with a strong focus on quality assurance
• Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring timely tracking, reporting, and resolution
• Analyse business requirements and technical specifications to define test scenarios
• Perform web application and database testing using SQL and Oracle/SQL Server
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, including joins, aggregations, CASE statements, and large dataset validation
• Work with test management tools such as HP ALM/QC, PractiTest, and JIRA
• Contribute to automation testing efforts and support API automation frameworks where applicable
• Ensure clear and effective communication across technical and business teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in software testing
• At least 7+ years’ experience in end-to-end testing, integration testing, database/ETL testing, and API/Microservices testing
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing and test execution
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server
• Proven experience in API testing using Postman (SoapUI desirable)
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes, and test design techniques
• Experience in web application testing
• Exposure to automation testing frameworks (desirable)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative Agile teams
• Experience in Retail or WEM domain/Reform Projects is highly desirable
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage
