The role
This is a pivotal role influencing how Barpa secures work and positions itself in the market. Based in Darwin, NT or Perth, WA, you will support both regions and report to the Construction Managers.
As a key contributor to Barpa's growth, you will lead end-to-end submissions across tenders, EOIs and proposals, shaping how we present our capability, value and Indigenous outcomes.
You will operate across both strategy and delivery, leading complex bids while remaining hands-on in content development, methodology and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full submissions process from opportunity identification through to handover
- Develop bid strategies, win themes and construction methodologies
- Write and coordinate high-quality, client-focused submission content
- Manage bid programmes, governance and review processes
- Collaborate with Construction, Estimating and BD teams to shape winning solutions
- Drive stakeholder engagement internally and externally to strengthen bid outcomes
- Support marketing content, case studies and capability materials
- Capture insights, lessons learned and continuously improve bid performance
About you
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management (or similar)
- Strong builder-side construction knowledge
- Proven experience leading complex, high-value tenders and influencing bid strategy
- Strong capability in developing construction methodologies and tender programmes that are practical and buildable
- Ability to translate technical construction information into compelling, client-focused submissions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
