About The Role
This opportunity is available as a 12-month parental leave cover contract, offering exposure to major infrastructure projects, senior stakeholder engagement and national communications initiatives within a leading contractor.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will play a key role in leading strategic communications initiatives across WA while contributing to national communications programs and priorities.
This autonomous role will see you partnering closely with senior leaders, project teams and clients to deliver high-impact communications that strengthen Georgiou’s reputation and support business growth.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading strategic communications initiatives across WA operations
- Building strong relationships with senior leaders, project teams and external stakeholders
- Developing communication frameworks, templates and guidance for project teams
- Writing and delivering engaging content across internal and external channels
- Identifying and promoting stories that showcase our people, projects and culture
- Supporting award submissions, project communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Coordinating events, campaigns and engagement activities across the business
- Monitoring communications and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Supporting brand consistency and communications best practice across all touchpoints
Your Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management or similar
- Demonstrated experience in a communications or corporate affairs role
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
- Exceptional writing, editing and content creation skills
- Ability to think strategically while delivering high-quality hands-on outcomes
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence influencing stakeholders and driving communications initiatives
- Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or professional services environments highly regarded
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, videography or digital content creation advantageous
