Shutdown Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced Shutdown Scheduler to join the Maintenance & Utilities Operational Services team at our Broadmeadows site. This role plays a critical part in planning, coordinating and optimizing facility shutdown schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production readiness.

Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Project Delivery, Quality and Engineering teams, you will lead the development and governance of shutdown schedules across short‑ and long‑term planning horizons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, baseline and optimise facility shutdown schedules aligned to site capacity planning and the Shutdown Playbook
  • Identify and manage critical paths, sequencing, resource requirements and interdependencies
  • Monitor performance against baseline schedules and proactively escalate risks and constraints
  • Analyze historical shutdown performance to identify trends, inefficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Mentor maintenance schedulers and shutdown coordinators to build scheduling capability and consistency across site
  • Develop and govern shutdown scheduling procedures in line with CSL policies, standards and GMP requirements
  • Support long‑range (12‑month to 3‑year) shutdown planning to enable future capacity and resource planning
  • Provide functional coverage as Maintenance Scheduler or Shutdown Coordinator as required

About You

You are a highly analytical scheduler with strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working in complex, regulated environments. You are comfortable influencing across functions and using data to drive better planning and execution outcomes.

You Will Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or a relevant post‑trade technical qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade or engineering environments (processing or manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong experience in maintenance and/or shutdown scheduling within industrial facilities
  • Advanced capability in planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera or similar
  • Sound understanding of resource planning, schedule governance and KPI development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to diverse stakeholder groups
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and GMP principles
