We’re now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business while helping maintain the integrity of our financial systems, reporting processes and controls.
This opportunity is ideal for someone in the early stages of their accounting career who is looking to build strong technical capability, gain exposure to a large multi-entity business, and work alongside experienced finance professionals in a supportive team environment.

An average week in the life of this role will involve:
- Financial Accounting and Reconciliations: Assist with bank reconciliations, journals, accruals, month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple business entities
- Finance Administration: Manage finance administration tasks including finance contract set-ups, finance mailbox management, refunds, purchase orders and day-to-day financial processing activities
- Reporting and Analysis: Support monthly reporting, variance analysis and data extraction using financial systems and advanced Excel skills to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
- Tax, Audit and Compliance: Assist with BAS preparation, audit requirements, government reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislative obligations
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and support broader finance team activities across accounts payable, collections and management accounting as required

You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, and currently undertaking (or planning to undertake) CPA or CA qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and analysis
- Understanding of accounting systems, finance processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
