Highbury Executive Talent has been exclusively engaged to find a standout Finance Manager for a fast growing, mid market business in Sydney.

This isn't your traditional accounting role. You'll sit close to the CFO, help shape financial strategy, lead a team, and genuinely influence how a high growth business scales.

The Role

A broad, commercially focused Finance Manager position, reporting directly into the CFO. Ideal for a strong Senior Accountant or Senior Analyst ready to step up, or an experienced FM who thrives in dynamic, high growth environments.

Responsibilities

· Month-end & year-end close

· Management accounts + support the CFO with board reporting pack

· Budgeting, forecasting & cash flow management

· Statutory compliance — BAS, GST, payroll tax, FBT & corporate tax

· External audit coordination

· Finance transformation & process improvement

· Leading a small AP/AR/Payroll team

The requirements

· CA / CPA qualified

· 3–5+ years in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or Senior Analyst role

· Strong technical accounting across reporting, compliance & tax

· ERP or transformation project experience

· Exposure to PE-backed, high-growth or SME environments a big plus

· Confident communicator who can partner with exec leadership
