NSW Key Account Manager – Independent Retail Liquor

With our own direct route to market now established in Australia, we’re entering an exciting new phase of growth across both national retail and the independent channel.
We’re looking for an experienced and driven NSW Key Account Manager to help accelerate distribution, visibility, and sales performance across the NSW independent liquor landscape.
The Role
This role is focused on managing and growing relationships across the NSW independent retail liquor channel including banner groups, key independents, and wholesale partners.
You’ll be responsible for driving distribution, executing activations, growing rate of sale, and ensuring our brands show up strongly in market.
This is a highly commercial role suited to someone who understands the independent liquor landscape, enjoys being out in trade, and can balance strategic account management with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Manage and grow relationships across NSW independent liquor groups and stores
- Deliver distribution growth across Scapegrace and ThunderDonk portfolios
- Drive promotional execution and visibility in store
- Build annual account plans and commercial proposals
- Identify new business opportunities across independent retail and wholesale
Commercial Execution
- Monitor sales performance, rate of sale, and ranging opportunities
- Work closely with our wholesale partners to maximise execution
- Coordinate in-store tastings, displays, POS, and activation activity
- Ensure pricing and promotional activity are effectively implemented in market
- Support new product launches and range reviews
Brand Building
- Be a passionate ambassador for the brands in market
- Build strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and retail staff
- Deliver staff training and education where required
- Help bring brand campaigns and activations to life in market
Reporting & Planning
- Maintain accurate forecasting and account reporting
- Provide market feedback and competitor insights
- Work closely with the New Zealand & Australian leadership team on strategy and execution
- Manage trade investment budgets effectively
About You
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in liquor sales or key account management
- Strong understanding of the NSW independent liquor landscape
- Existing relationships across banners, independents, or wholesalers highly advantageous
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills
- Highly self motivated with a strong bias for action and delivering results
- Agile and adaptable, able to pivot quickly and thrive in a fast paced growth environment
- Comfortable operating autonomously while balancing strategic thinking with hands on execution
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Passion for premium spirits and challenger brands
- Current driver’s licence required
