Job Description

  • Sydney or Newcastle CBD location/ hybrid work from home
  • Provide technical and claims management expertise and feedback to support ongoing quality decisions and outcomes
  • 14 month role

Purpose Of The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide qualitative insights regarding the management of Workers’ Insurance claims for the iCare scheme in order to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with core regulatory obligations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct quality assurance audits the quality, capability, and injury management competency of WC claims.
  • Utilise the results of QA audits and perform different levels of root cause analysis to identify performance gaps, key business risks and emerging trends
  • Actively provide constructive feedback, professional advice and business insights to Business Representatives and Leadership team within Personal Injury Claims through action planning forums by co-ordinating different business discussions e.g. calibration sessions, root cause analysis meetings, business insight presentations, etc.
  • Increase awareness of the cost and consequence of decisions by providing objective input and recommendations when escalating trends and areas requiring improvement
  • Follow up and monitor implementation of agreed action plans from the QA reviews and root cause analysis

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years Workers Compensation – Desired
  • Advanced knowledge of Personal Injury Insurance, Workers’ Insurance and/or CTP claims management and QA processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of injury management and return to work strategies
  • Ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both verbally and in writing
