As Head of Asset Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring our environments are safe, compliant, high-performing and aligned to the evolving needs of students, staff and communities.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Planning and Infrastructure Officer, you will lead the delivery of asset management, facilities operations and maintenance services across a complex, multi-site portfolio.

This is not just facilities management - it is about embedding systems, lifting capability and driving a consistent, high-quality service model across all schools and offices.

• Lead the development and implementation of a strategic asset management framework across the Diocese

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring efficient, safe and timely delivery

• Drive asset lifecycle planning, investment prioritisation and long-term sustainability outcomes

• Embed systems, processes and reporting to lift asset management maturity and consistency

• Oversee compliance with legislative, safety and statutory obligations across all facilities

• Lead procurement, contract management and contractor performance across the portfolio

• Partner with schools and internal stakeholders to ensure services are practical, responsive and fit-for-purpose

What You Bring

You are a practical and strategic leader who understands how to balance service delivery, compliance and long-term asset performance.

• Extensive experience in asset management, facilities management or property operations

• Proven capability leading multi-site or regional asset/facilities functions

• Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance and lifecycle asset management

• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contracts, procurement and service providers

• Sound knowledge of legislative, safety and compliance requirements within built environments

• Experience leading teams, building capability and embedding consistent ways of working

• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capability

• Experience in education, government or similarly complex, regulated environments will be highly regarded.
