About The Role

As a Community Services Support Worker at Gateways, you will provide person-centred support to people with disability to build independence, develop everyday living skills, and achieve their individual goals. You will work across a variety of shifts in Werribee and surrounding areas, supporting meaningful participation and connection within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support people to develop everyday living skills, increase independence, and work towards their individual goals.
  • Facilitate participation in community activities and support the development of social and community connections.
  • Apply Person-Centred Active Support principles to promote meaningful engagement in daily activities.
  • Provide safe and reliable transport to and from activities and appointments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, incident reporting, and other required records.

What you will bring to the role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem-solve in day-to-day support situations.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build respectful and supportive relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to person-centred practice and supporting people to live full and inclusive lives.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check, NDIS Check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
  • Victorian drivers licence
