About the Role: The role of the Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager – NSW and supports the maintenance team in ensuring critical spares are catalogued, stored and available fit for use in advance of planned maintenance requirements. The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator will work with contractors and external suppliers to procure or arrange refurbishment of spares and components required to support the maintenance of 1 Rail assets in NSW. This role is a permanent part-time position for 35hrs.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Annual Stocktake processes.
- Coordinating calibration and certification of specialised test equipment and critical tools.
- Coordinating compliance of electrical test and tag / lifting equipment.
- Stores management including picking, stock conducting cycle counts and replenishing stock as required.
- Loading and unloading of trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Expediting the delivery of required parts from suppliers.
- Raising purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinating purchasing and receipt of inventory, miscellaneous and consumable items as directed.
- Shipping of components to third party contractors.
- Checking condition of goods.
- Updating the Asset Management System (AMS) with new inventory items as required.
- Transfer of inventory parts between store sites.
- Labelling of inventory parts and storage shelves as required.
- Stores housekeeping.
- Work with local communities and manage complaints where required.
- Tracking serialised components and arranging their repair / refurbishment.
- Maintaining and improving the AMS inventory system regarding inventory items.
Qualifications
- Relevant similar experience in either Rail, Mining or Heavy Industry.
- Relevant licences / tickets eg. Forklift, Light Truck, Rigging, Dogging, Elevated Work Platform.

- Strong relationship management skills.
- Understanding of costs versus risk against the benefit to 1 Rail and Customers.
- High degree of personal integrity.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to interpret, process and analyse data and budgets.
- Ability to read and interpret parts drawings and manuals.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an industrial store’s environment within a rail maintenance focused setting.
- Systems experience (SAP, Oracle,) where relevant.
