Operations Officer Business Support

As our highly valued Business Support Operations Officer at Great Southern Bank, you are responsible for delivering the best experience to our team members when they need a helping hand. You will be an agile team member with a focus on service and wanting to be an expert in your field, others will seek your guidance and support. You are flexible and willing to shift focus numerous times throughout a day while maintaining a high-quality standard. Escalation and identification of opportunities to improve and refine internal processes will be part of your BAU. Working with the Business Support Lead, you will provide insights into hot spots and blockers.
The Business Support Team is here as the banks “phone a friend ”. We work to guide the Frontline and Operations teams through questions on product knowledge, procedures, incidents and systems they face daily. We champion the use of procedures, processes with a focus on educating the wider business on how and why we do things as well as where that information is .
You’ll make an impact by:
- Provide support to frontline and back-office team members who call/contact with enquiries in a timely manner
- Support activities include: TCR Support, teller balancing, alarm testing, monthly reporting, process guidance and feedback, escalate customer queries to correct team for resolution
- Accurately record data points to allow regular reviews to source education opportunities for the wider business
- Innovative and solutions focused - passionate about the customer (both internal and external) experience
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 12 months experience in the Financial Services or related industry with branch and frontline experience highly regarded
- High level of computer literacy with a proven ability to adapt to new digital/system environments
- Strong customer service ethic and the ability to successfully establish and maintain effective relationship s
