ServiceNow Developer

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity within a Queensland Government environment for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting both BAU platform uplift and a major ServiceNow replatforming initiative. You’ll be hands-on across configuration and development, partnering with technical and business stakeholders to deliver improvements that enhance service delivery and user experience across an enterprise-scale ServiceNow environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow platform solutions
• Provide BAU support, enhancements, and issue resolution across the platform
• Contribute to a ServiceNow replatforming program and associated technical deliverables
• Configure workflows, forms, catalog items, integrations, and automation processes
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement platform changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring stable and performant outcomes
• Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
• Contribute to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities

Skills and Experience (Must Have)

• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer in an enterprise environment
• Strong hands-on capability in ServiceNow development and platform customisation
• Business Rules
• Client Scripts
• UI Policies
• Flow Designer
• Experience supporting BAU while also contributing to project delivery
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability

Desirable Criteria (Nice to Have)

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD or equivalent)
• Experience in Government, Education, or other large/complex organisations
• ITIL knowledge or certification
• Experience with integrations and Service Portal
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
