Event Coordinator – Permanent Full-Time Opportunity | South West Sydney

Troys Hospitality Staff is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Event Coordinator position at a reputable golf club located in South West Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced hospitality professional who enjoys client interaction, event sales, and delivering high-quality event experiences.

About the Role

As an Event Coordinator, you will act as the first point of contact for all event enquiries and manage the coordination process from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking. You will play a key role in converting enquiries into sales, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring all event details are accurately planned and communicated.

Once events are confirmed, you will coordinate all requirements and hand over to the Food & Beverage Manager for operational delivery on the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end event enquiries, sales, and coordination
  • Act as the first point of contact for client enquiries via phone and email
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and event packages aligned with client needs
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through proactive follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business
  • Coordinate event logistics and communicate requirements with internal teams
  • Ensure all event details are accurately documented and updated
  • Support business development and sales initiatives
  • Maintain event records and administrative documentation
  • Deliver a high standard of service and ensure client expectations are exceeded

About You

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in event coordination, functions, or hospitality sales
  • Previous experience within hospitality venues, golf clubs, conferencing, weddings, or corporate events
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident handling enquiries, preparing quotes, and closing bookings
  • Professional presentation with strong attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
  • Experience with IVVY or similar event management systems is highly regarded
  • MUST Full Australian work rights

Working Arrangements

  • Monday to Friday role with occasional Saturdays depending on event requirements
