Contract: 12 Months (Extension possible)

Security Clearance: NV1 required

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Performance Tester to join a high-impact government program supporting critical systems and applications.

You'll play a key role in ensuring systems are responsive, scalable, and stable under high transaction volumes, working across multiple Agile Release Trains and concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scenarios (load, stress, endurance, spike)
• Analyse system performance and identify bottlenecks & root causes
• Plan and manage end-to-end performance testing lifecycle
• Provide technical guidance on tools, environments, and methodologies
• Collaborate with project managers, ICT teams, and stakeholders
• Produce performance test plans, reports, and documentation
• Mentor team members and uplift testing capability
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Performance Testing & Analysis
• Hands-on expertise with tools such as:
• LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter
• SOAP UI / Load UI
• Experience with APM tools & monitoring
• Knowledge of API & Web Services testing
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols
• Experience with SQL & database performance validation
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
• Basic Linux/Unix/Bash skills
