Technical IT Support Officer

Western Suburb, Melbourne VIC | Full-Time | Office Based

An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated and customer-focused Technical IT Support Officer to join a growing technology business based in Melbourne.

This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of IT support experience who is looking to further develop their technical skills within a supportive small team environment. The business values attitude, initiative, communication skills, and a willingness to learn just as much as technical ability.

You will receive ongoing training and mentoring while working across a range of hardware, software, and cloud-based technology solutions supporting clients both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to customers and reseller partners
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based application issues
  • Log and manage support tickets through to resolution
  • Configure and deploy hardware and software solutions
  • Test hardware devices prior to dispatch
  • Configure mobile applications and devices
  • Liaise with software vendors and developers to resolve technical issues
  • Deliver customer onboarding and product training
  • Assist with internal IT systems, backups, and network monitoring
  • Occasional customer site visits for support and training

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or similar
  • 2–3 years' experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft Servers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Active Directory advantageous
  • Understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, and port forwarding
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights are essential
