As the Virtual Lending Specialist, you are part of the broader home lending team ensuring customers across the entire nation have access to expert lending support without needing to visit a branch. You manage and own your home loans through to completion, grow your pipeline and constantly scan for opportunities, helping all Australians own their own home.

You’re part of the Chief Operating Office , Or COO as we like to call it, under the S ales and Distribution Team. We’re a customer-obsessed bunch, committed to helping all Australians own their own home. Together, we manage the entire customer experience. From attracting new customers through our strong brand and clever propositions, to retaining them and making them brand advocates through our award-winning service and support.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • As a highly-experienced and successful lender, you are seen as a senior team member in the retail network and a respected subject-matter expert. You are autonomous in driving your own results, while working and thinking as part of a team, role-modelling Great Southern Bank’s leadership values at every opportunity to enhance the performance of the Retail Network
  • Well regarded within the business you will build strong relationships with internal partners to support a steady flow for quality lending referrals. You work in partnership with the Manager Virtual Sales to promote the value of the virtual lending channel and engage regularly with key stakeholders to build strong, trust-based relationship s.
  • You are accountable for the day-to-day operations of your service, including meeting service standards and performance targets . You work collaboratively with our customers and set clear expectations and timeframes to meet their needs.

Do things differently with us

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven track record in retail banking, retail lending/credit assessment within small to large banking environments with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to work confidently in a call recorded environment
  • Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and previous experience pursuing leads
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Code and Acts (e.g. FSRA, Credit Union Code of Practice, Privacy Act)
  • Connected, community-minded, engaging and a natural relationship builder
