With a strong focus on safe, fair and productive workplaces, they are now seeking an experienced IR/ER Specialist to support multiple sites and strengthen employee relations capability across the business.

The Appointment

This role sits at the heart of the organisation’s people strategy, providing trusted Employee Relations and Industrial Relations guidance to leaders across a complex operational environment.

You’ll support compliance, enterprise bargaining, investigations and proactive ER initiatives, while building capability through targeted training and day‑to‑day advisory support. It’s a hands‑on, high‑impact role where your expertise directly shapes workplace culture and management effectiveness.

Key Areas Of Responsibility Include

  • Monitoring compliance with federal, state and local employment legislation
  • Supporting the implementation of group‑wide IR/ER strategies
  • Delivering proactive positive employee relations initiatives
  • Responding to union activity and assisting with industrial disputes, including tribunal preparation
  • Participating in enterprise bargaining, contract administration and grievance management
  • Conducting or managing workplace investigations
  • Providing day‑to‑day IR/ER advice to leaders and teams
  • Supporting relationships with external legal providers

The Appointee

You’re a confident IR/ER professional with strong judgement, technical capability and the ability to influence outcomes in a complex operational setting.

You Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in industrial relations or law
  • Experience in investigations, bargaining and compliance processes
  • Strong working knowledge of employment and industrial relations legislation
  • Ability to apply IR/ER frameworks in a commercially practical, solutions‑focused way
  • Confidence engaging with unions, leaders and external legal partners
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build capability across the business
  • You’re someone who can navigate complexity, build trust quickly and support leaders to create fair, consistent and compliant workplaces.
