Step into a new leadership role supporting Council’s asset management outcomes through accurate data, strong systems governance and insight-driven reporting. You will lead two team leaders and drive asset register configuration projects, Power BI dashboards and a practical Asset Information Strategy whilst working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
About This Opportunity
- Coordinate Council’s Asset Information Systems and asset data functions, ensuring the integrity and usability of asset information.
- Lead and support two team leaders (Asset Information Systems and Asset Data) and build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Deliver “work in progress” improvements to the asset register, including system configuration and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to support evidence-based decision making.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into practical system and data solutions.
- Develop, review and improve Council’s Asset Information Strategy to strengthen governance, standards and reporting outcomes.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Diploma in IT and/or Business (a degree is desirable), or an equivalent combination of qualifications and extensiverelevant experience.
- QLD C Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience working with asset information systems, asset data and asset registers (exposure to asset management is essential).
- Proven capability delivering system configuration and improvement projects in a complex environment (local government experience is well regarded).
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in Power BI, dashboarding and performance reporting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
