About Chobani
Inspired by Australia’s great people and vibrant food culture, Chobani Australia was formed in 2011 following the acquisition of Gippsland Dairy alongside the Chobani brand. Flash forward 15 years and Chobani is Australia’s #1 yogurt brand, living in the hearts (and tummies) of fans across the country.
At Chobani it’s always been about more than yogurt. Access to delicious and nutritious food should be a right, not a privilege.
Chobani Australia is building the next chapter of growth – investing in major site upgrades and new capability to meet demand and deliver on our aspiration: in every fridge, everywhere, every day.
Yogurt is one of the fastest growing categories in Australian grocery, driven by high protein, healthy options and convenient formats – creating genuine growth opportunities for our customers and our team.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of the Dairy category on a 12-month contract, supporting a key period of transition across our supplier network.
This is a pivotal role within the Procurement team, with a strong focus on supplier and category management rather than traditional sourcing activity. With dairy representing our largest spend category, you will play a critical role in managing supplier performance, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring a stable and efficient supply of milk to support daily operations.
Working closely with planning, production and broader business stakeholders, you will contribute to a multi-year transition to new supplier contracting models, bringing both commercial acumen and operational insight to ensure continuity, performance and value.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Lead end-to-end category management for Dairy, ensuring supply continuity, quality and cost effectiveness
- Manage supplier performance across key metrics including delivery, pricing, quality and sustainability
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key domestic and international suppliers
- Oversee contract management, including renegotiation and performance tracking
- Support planning teams to ensure supply aligns with production requirements and customer demand
- Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across supply chain, production, finance, legal and sustainability
- Contract additional supply, where required, to meet the forecast demand and ensure supply continuity
This role is heavily weighted toward supplier relationship and performance management, with the remainder focused on negotiation, contracting and strategic sourcing.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in procurement, category management or supply chain (ideally within FMCG, food or ingredients)
- Strong capability in supplier relationship management and performance management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing contracts
- Experience within dairy or a related category will be highly regarded
- Ability to work with data, analyse trends and make informed commercial decisions
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across multiple functions
- High levels of organisation, responsiveness and agility in a dynamic environment
Why This Role?
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact category at a critical time of transformation. You’ll play a key role in shaping supplier strategy and performance across Chobani’s largest spend area, working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-growing, purpose-led business. With significant investment underway and a shift in supplier contracting models, this role offers strong exposure to strategic supplier management at scale, while allowing you to make a tangible impact on supply continuity, performance and long-term value.
Benefits
You’ll join a team that’s genuinely committed to making a positive impact on our communities, our people, and the planet. You’ll work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility and enjoy a range of great perks, including financial and lifestyle benefits, hybrid and flexible working options, and 18 weeks’ parental leave to support you and your family. We also offer well-being support for your loved ones - plus a few extras to keep things fun, like barista-style coffee onsite and weekly yoghurt giveaways.
