About the Role

We're looking for a GIS Officer to join our growing GIS division. Working closely with our GIS Manager and directly with client teams, both on-site and from CAF offices. You'll deliver reliable spatial services including data processing, system configuration, spatial analysis and end-user support across a variety of platforms.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where no two days look the same.

What You'll Do

• Maintain, quality-assure and transform client GIS data to produce meaningful deliverables
• Provide end-user support, training and guidance on GIS platforms and workflows
• Support the configuration and administration of client systems (on-premises and Cloud/SaaS)
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as FME and Python
• Contribute to proposals, process improvements and mobile/field data capture solutions

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years' experience in a GIS role within Australia
• Strong skills across desktop GIS (QGIS, MapInfo, ArcGIS Pro) and enterprise platforms (IntraMaps, Spectrum Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS Online/Portal)
• SQL competency for spatial database querying and validation
• Tertiary qualification in GIS, Spatial Science, Computer Science, Geography or equivalent experience
• FME experience (highly regarded); Python/JavaScript and data visualisation skills (desirable)
• A collaborative, client-first mindset with strong communication skills
