Field Base Crew Leader

Lead a high performing crew maintaining one of Melbourne's most iconic road networks, including CityLink and the West Gate Tunnel

We are currently seeking a dedicated Team Leader to guide our Road Maintenance crew to help deliver safe, high-quality outcomes across the Citylink and West Gate Tunnel Network. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is passionate about leading teams while prioritising safety and quality.

About the Role

You will lead and support a team delivering a range of civil and landscaping maintenance works, including:

Landscaping and grounds maintenance

Fence repairs

Graffiti removal

Planning and scheduling daily works

Engaging professionally with the public, clients, and stakeholders

What You'll Bring

Experience leading or supervising landscaping or civil maintenance crews

Strong planning, scheduling, and crew coordination skills

A commitment to accountability, quality, and on-time delivery

Proven ability to build positive client and stakeholder relationships

A strong safety mindset and active participation in Downer's Zero Harm initiatives
