This is an exciting opportunity to cut down your commute time working closer to home in the North, as the business are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Position Description
This role is responsible for working in partnership with Payroll & Finance stakeholders to assist with accurate and efficient payroll processing. Your role will include but not be limited to:
- End to end payroll processing for 400+ employees
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Ensuring compliance with payroll related legislation
- Processing payroll tax, work cover and superannuation
- Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business, efficiently managing employees queries
- Involvement in system enhancements, implementations, and process improvement initiatives
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Relevant reporting duties
- Additional tasks to assist the broader team
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have a strong background in end to end payroll, and a combined passion for operational excellence. You will have effective time management and organisational skills, and a proven ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a broader team setting. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and a willingness to be flexible will be essential for this position. Prior experience using micropay is advantageous!
