Overview

We are seeking a Transfusion Medicine Ambassador to support a key customer site in Victoria, working in close partnership with an experienced peer to deliver exceptional technical support and customer outcomes. This is a site-based, highly collaborative role, where success is driven by teamwork, shared accountability, and a strong customer focus across one of our most strategically important accounts. This is primarily a technical, site-based role focused on system performance, service delivery, and customer partnership, complemented by a contribution to commercial outcomes.

In partnership with your colleague, you will leverage deep technical expertise, trusted product knowledge, and strong commercial judgement to effectively manage workflows and build enduring relationships across the customer environment and Abbott network. By combining structured problem solving with clear, confident communication, you will drive system performance, elevate the customer experience, and contribute to continuous improvement within a highly regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site technical ambassador for Abbott Transfusion Medicine solutions (Alinity, automation, and software), ensuring optimal system performance
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships through clear and proactive communication with key stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on technical support, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting across instrumentation and automation systems
  • Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation (GMP/TGA aligned)
  • Partner with a peer Ambassador to support site performance, service delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure coordinated, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
  • Maintain high standards in inventory management, stock control, and service workflows
  • Ensure full compliance with corporate governance, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Support business reviews, service KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to territory sales targets and support growth in instrument and consumable adoption
  • Identify and support new business opportunities within the existing customer environment
  • Deliver product demonstrations, training, and customer education

About You

You are a technically credible, customer-focused professional who thrives in a structured, site-based environment and enjoys working collaboratively to solve complex problems.

You bring :

  • A degree in Science, Biomedical Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in diagnostics, transfusion medicine, or laboratory environments
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and confidently
  • Experience working within regulated environments (GMP, quality systems)
  • A proactive and organised approach, with strong follow-through
  • The ability to work collaboratively while managing your own responsibilities
  • Resilience in managing complex customer needs and competing priorities

Working Environment

  • Site-based role in Victoria, working alongside a peer Ambassador
  • ~25% travel (including occasional interstate and international travel)
  • Reporting to the Country Manager, with support from a national team of ambassadors and senior specialists
