What We Are Looking For

We’re seeking a hands‑on Coordinator to help deliver critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the region. This role supports the Capital Works Program by managing day labour teams and contractors, providing on‑site coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You’ll be joining a supportive, solutions‑focused Infrastructure Delivery team that values collaboration, technical capability, and a strong commitment to service for our growing community.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Lead and coordinate delivery of assigned water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Oversee day labour teams and contractors to achieve scope, time, cost, and quality outcomes
  • Support design, constructability and operational reviews to optimise project delivery
  • Provide on‑site supervision and act as Superintendent’s Representative or Inspector as required
  • Manage procurement, scheduling and resource planning to keep works on track
  • Monitor budgets, prepare financial updates, and report on progress to internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing methods, materials, and completed works

What You’ll Need For Success

  • Trade‑level qualification (AQF Level 3 or above) in Water Industry Operations, Plumbing, Civil Construction, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating civil and/or water infrastructure projects
  • Strong capability in project planning, design review, scheduling, and on‑site delivery
  • Experience monitoring budgets and reporting on expenditure and progress
  • Sound knowledge of civil construction standards, contract administration, and WHS requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Class C or CA driver licence
  • General Construction Induction (White Card)

What’s Nice To Have

  • Advanced trade qualification (AQF Level 4 or above) in Plumbing, Drainage, or related discipline
  • Engineering Associate qualification (AQF Level 6 or above)
  • Experience working within local government
