Whilst our client is a long-established business with a loyal customer base and great reputation, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong sales and leadership focus to take ‘ownership’ of the sales function, driving sustainable revenue growth, customer retention, acquisition and profitability of the business.

Reporting to senior leadership and working closely with the Finance Manager, you will take ‘ownership’ of the sales aspect of the business, overseeing end-to-end sales operations while identifying and securing new opportunities to expand their footprint.

You will play a critical role in shaping strategy, leading commercial negotiations, and ensuring the seamless delivery and performance of the sales team.

Critical skills required

Commercial acumen and financial management; deep understanding of profitability drivers (P&L management, margins, pricing), working capital optimisation (cash flow, inventory, receivables), and overall business performance metrics.

Revenue growth and sales strategy; proven ability to drive revenue through business development, sales leadership, market expansion, and achieving growth targets.

Results-oriented and strategic mindset; a proactive, driven personality focused on delivering measurable business outcomes, with the ability to think strategically about commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven customer relationship management and satisfaction; expertise in building long-term client relationships, improving customer loyalty, and delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management; strong people leadership skills to motivate, develop, and manage sales/commercial teams effectively.

A highly attractive remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with the level of skills & experience required and will include a ‘profit share’ component through a superior bonus structure.

Although our client is ready to appoint into this position, they are prepared to wait for the ‘right’ candidate should he/she be currently working and required to give an extended notice period to their current employer.
