We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospitality Services Manager to join our team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, Business Operations you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision and delivery of hospitality services across Doutta Galla Aged Services homes. The role works closely with the hospitality team to improve the dining experience, living environment for residents/clients and staff, and ensure that there are high standards of customer service aligned to the Aged Care Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support hospitality teams, including recruitment support, induction and training
- Ensure all residences meet organisational, legislative, industry, and professional hospitality standards
- Provide quality control across catering, cleaning, and laundry services
- Optimise hospitality budgets, including catering, cleaning, and laundry services
- Support Chefs with food service budgets, stock control, and wastage management
- Provide oversight and quality control
- Ensure regular audits of food safety and hospitality services are completed and actioned
- Support residences during food safety audits and re‑accreditation/quality assessment visits
- Support staff training related to Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety Standards
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent customer service focus with strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills
- Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities
- Strategic thinker with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Diploma in Management or Hospitality
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in a similar leadership role within an aged care or comparable environment
- Working knowledge of food safety programs and infection prevention and control in aged care
- Sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
- Experience in rostering, workforce planning, and staffing of hospitality services
- Proven experience managing budgets, stock control, and resident cost‑per‑day targets
- Experience in change management within a hospitality setting
- Experience managing external contractors (e.g. laundry services)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, resident‑focused approach
- Solid understanding of WHS requirements, particularly relating to kitchens and laundry services
