ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Position Details

St Joseph’s Primary School, Bunbury, is seeking to appoint an Administration Officer 3 days per week to support the Substantive Officers.

This position is responsible for a range of tasks necessary for the daily running of the school. The successful applicant will work closely with the substantive Administration and Finance Officers and Principal. There is a very high level of interaction with students and their parents/carers.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • General reception and administrative duties
  • Support of student-related activities such as maintaining student attendance records, generating routine reports and correspondence related to absenteeism
  • Mail collection and distribution
  • Assistance with enrolment enquiries and student enrolments
  • Basic first aid provision to students.

Selection Criteria

Experience in a similar role and the following attributes are required:

  • A welcoming, happy and compassionate disposition.
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
  • Sound written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent desktop skills including the use of Word, Excel, databases and internet skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
  • Ability to assist with the preparation of school documents, internal and external publications.

Required

Qualifications Required

  • National Criminal History Check issued by the Education Department WA.
  • WA Working With Children Check.
  • Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School or prepared to work towards.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience with CEWA AoS System.
  • First Aid certificate.
