Role Description

This is an on-site, casual contract role located in Boronia, VIC, for a Maintenance Fitter. The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance, carrying out repairs on plant machinery, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently. Tasks will include diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery faults, completing fittings and adjustments, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the operations through technical expertise in maintenance and repair.

Operating within a cGMP-regulated environment, the role requires strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and disciplined adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning) or equivalent.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a pharmaceutical, regulated, or industrial environment.
  • Experience with high-speed production and precision equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely lift and handle mechanical equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work in varied physical positions.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment, including cleanroom areas.
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial hazards.
  • Overtime or shift work may be required.
  • Drivers licence, and access to vehicle due to location
